Hi im looking for a lsd for my track car and i have found a suitable ratio ect but its a small case.
I would then be getting rebuilt and a few other bits.
What i want to no is though is the small case up to the job?
Or should it be med case?
Its only a track car some very little road use.
Thanks
Track use med or small case diff.

Yeah as above, medium case.
A small case will stand no chance.

I've been looking into an after market small case LSD unit. Saves some weight, is pretty in-expensive and easier sourcing of ratios to haul it up to speed quicker. My wee M42 has got around 155bhp maybe a tad more and not 100% sure about torque need to dig out the power graph from when the engine was dynod a while back. Tyre wise is a 195 wide 'road legal' slick so not super wide sticky grippy slicks.
What do people recon? The small case will work or just stick to medium?
