Doing my first drift day. Any tips on mods for car? It's completely standard. Has LSD. Should I lower it?

Make sure you have total faith in the cooling system and clutch. Lowering would be a good idea but I wouldn't worry for your first time. With a standard LSD you will really have to throw and/or clutch kick the car, you will probably need to be harder on the car than you think, I'd check the diff fluid too. The engine is ready to rip, my old 325i touring used to eat tyres. Check the 8mm allen key bolts that hold the driveshaft to the diff are tight, you don't want them snapping (ask me how I know!!)

Where is your first day?

Keep an eye on the car temperature!! (again ask me how I know). Have fun and ignore the haters, E30zone LOVES drifting.

You should talk to a user called Pony, he is going drifting this weekend also. Do you know him? He also has a LSD.

Also, pump up your rears to about 37psi and let the air out of your fronts to between 22/25psi

This will help induce more oversteer

I found a front strut brace also helps.
