REAL men crack on whatever the weather. Around this time 2 yrs ago I was posting about changing my rear beam on my back in the snow  :D

Berry crimbob to all you guys too. I also hear rumours of EPIC tales from the valleys winkeye

I've got not much to say tell the truth. Other than my weight reduction which you might appreciate Andrew however - a) It's my own weight b) It's not going anywhere :( Maybe I need a bigger heat gun...

Oh and planning to do this next Nov an 8hr endurance in Anglesey 8O

Very true about us men' I was under the car on Saturday evening trying out a few tweaks.

I think it was about this time last year we met up at Barhill with the Impact to fix the top mounts? I remember it was snowing that day a‘a

Eight hour session sounds good, lots of physical preparation will be key I think?

Yeah that "quick favour" that eat up the entire afternoon :D I found it quite interesting and still much appreciated!

The Anglesey event is shared amongst up to 4 drivers, still 2 hours seat time ish. I'm training as it happens to go back to the army reserve (they do some good cash incentives to go back these days!!) to help with the finances but also it will certainly help with 4 wheeled projects 8)

After watching "Truth in 24" 1 and 2 back to back, I decided an endurance event has to be on the bucket list...

Echoing Andrew's message - Merry Christmas all!

I've done nothing for weeks and won't be doing anything for a little longer. Busy moving house and entertaining family over Christmas - busy at work too. Will perhaps get to crack on some in February.

I am debating about putting something about an exhaust for my 205 on here. It involves lots of skimping, bodgery and other skulldugery.

It isn't complete yet but might be of interest how 'easy' it is to reverse engineer something with the right gear.

Anyone interested or is it likely to put people to sleep?

My car hasn't seen a spanner for a while, with one thing and another, just moved house.

But I have plenty of motivation and hopefully after Xmas I'll get the chance to start on a cage.

Jon, the basic principles would be very good content so dont worry about anyone going to sleep!

Maxfield get a thread setup!

Motorhole hope the move is going well and you get a little time to spend on the car before February.

milescook, weight saving! I have gone a little mad, found a company to make me some nice vinyl badges :o:

They will be a hell of a lot cheaper then a new BMW badge set, I see that as a bigger benefit than 50 odd grams :D

Im taking the plunge over Christmas and converting my e30 rallycar to grp4 rear coilovers,
nothing too exciting but ill stick up a few pics when I make a start,
I had bilstein regas my b6's to gr4 rebound rates and it worked really well but because of the narrow body they did get quite hot over the rough irish tar!

I'm waiting for the year to end so we can start booking test days, then get back to racing.

Winter is so boring.

The test days, are they just track days or do you need a race licence to get on?

Test days require a race licence, but it's super easy to get one. They're normally over priced for track time, but you don't get held up by track-day warriors who think they know how to drive ;)

Not done anything to mine apart from borrow bits off it for customers cars

But I have found some manky old calipers that may find their way onto the car :D

Image

Shown next to a rear caliper to get an idea of size. Unsurprisingly, they wont fit under a 15 inch BBS...

I bought two relays from BMW this morning that's about as gripping as it's got for me and my car.

I had a similar set, if not the same set sat around for ages. I kept looking at them thinking they're far to big for an E30.

Ended up selling them to a mate with a TT. I believe they use them with R32 discs in the VAG world.
