I think you need to have a cage fitted to convertible's, could be wrong though

whats the steering wheel ?? looks like it has quiet a deep "dish" to it...this would presumably have the effect of bringing the wheel a bit closer to the driver. i am thinking of the same as i am a little "vertially challenged" !!

re the wheel, I can't recall I think it's a 90mm dish...we are both about 5'11'' / a bit more on hot days, it's actually not too bad to use when your in the buckets, the old boat house wheel was very odd once it was down on the suspension and tightend up, now it feels far more pointy, even on the original rack.

It's a lot of fun to drive, but for me it's the first RWD car, driven vans which are not really the same beast, except when empty and wet roads ;). So for me it's a big learning curve; hence it's caged for me really :D

Confidence...

I'm confident of having a lot of happy times in it, and perhaps the odd scary one

thanks - think i will order a new wheel from Demon Thieves later this week. I am only 5'3" and getting the distance right for the pedals and reach for the wheel is always difficult. My road cars have adjustable reach / rake which is a bonus.

the car looks good - will look out for you at tracks. got any booked yet ??
my car is fairly easy to spot as it is lime green/yellow !!! see the pics at www.greenbmw.co.uk . i am off to silvertsone GP circuit with it on feb 10th (got it for Ԛ£99 - bargain !!!...fully booked now though !)

plan to get my Nat B this year and get a few sigs from sprints and maybe a hill climb or two
Cheers

Looks good mate. Nice clean interior as well. Have you sprayed after removing all the deadening?

the interior is just painted white.. more so we can see when drop nuts bolts than anything else.. will need redoing tbh as the paint reacted but looks good from a distance...

its the way it drives that matters...
Cheers
