Get yourself a Playstation etc., and learn the track. Nothing like being there of course, but at least you might get some idea of which way the track goes over the next blind brow/blind corner.

If its raining, be ultra careful at the middle part of the track ( brunchen to hohe acht, IIRC) it is outrageously slippery. About two thirds of the way through, you will see a wooden shack right infront of you on an uphill right hander. When wet, the surface on that corner and for the next two or three is worse than ice. If you damage the armco (a lot easier than you think as there is very little runoff area) you must pay (about 400 per section) before you leave the track. Other than that, take it easy to begin with. Ensure that the track is open to the public before you go. I was there last week, and it was only open one day that week. As previously said, GT4 is a good help for learning the left and rights, but the gradients/ camber changes have to be seen to be believed. Be careful and you will have the time of your life and be absolutley hooked. I cant wait till the next time. It can easily become an obsession.
Remeber to get the car sticker for boasting purposes. You get them in the resturant, museum and petrol station. To get to the public paddock part, ignore all the left turns for the museums/shops etc. and take the right, signed "nordschlife". It goes under the main road an takes you right in.

At that time of year I'd be more worried about snow!

Good advice - I'd def. be ultra careful if you're driving from BrÃÂannchen to Hohe Acht, as you'll be driving the wrong way around the track! :clin:

On a serious note it does get slippery, esp under the trees
I walked the 1st half of the track in the damp once, and on some parts its like an ice rink - you could slide huge distances on your shoes

How'd the weekend go Ian? Hooked yet? :P
Cheers,
Robin
