The Skyline was a 450bhp RB26 RWD with 6spd Sequential Box
The Porsche was a GT3

Good day but i need to rebuild my gearbox now! The MS DTM shifter is way too fast for worn Synchros :(

Its heavy big car, and with the off camber bends he can't keep the power on with that torque! He was on MPCups!

Thanks dude!

AST were simply amazing! The dampers worked so consistently and i was out for very long sessions, i think i might need to go up about 200lb on the front to 800 and up the rear by 100 to 400 otherwise the dampers worked really well :)

Managed to put a little pad transfers on the disks but nothing major, i cleaned them up last night.

Your car looked great when you passed me chasing that Atom.

I also had gearbox problems that day. The Nissan was pissing oil out of the gearbox seals. Took the box out yesterday and fitted new seals, but ive found the clutch is also heavily worn so ordered an uprated one. Rockingham was much better than i thought it was going to be. Shame i had to retire only after an hours driving!

Thanks Oguz!

James, it was really good to see you! sorry i was a little all over the place and out all the time, ive not had much use of the car so i got too carried away!

That Atom was really good fun to follow, but i know he wasn't pushing it

I hope my clutch is ok when i take the box off for repair too! You can hear me crunch the gears on the video.

Did you get some good pointers from Tim?

Yeah he was very helpful teaching lines as id never been to Rockingham before. He also hammered home the importance of delaying the application of throttle after breaking and turning into the apex. The delay really helped the car to stabilise and turn in at its full potential before then applying part throttle just after apex, and then accelerating out. He also suggested a dab of brake at certain places to settle the car before a change of direction.

I was just really pissed off that after paying £45 for the lesson and £170 for the trackday that i had to retire early. Still, at least the gearbox is ok and its just seals and a new clutch.

Good to see your car again Andrew, I'd almost forgotten how awesome it is!

Was an excellent day, I have revised my previously low opinion of Rockingham - it's actually pretty good fun! Managed to fade my brakes which is a first, not a particularly welcome one though.

Some great laps towards the end of the day when the track was virtually empty - I hoped Karan uploads some of his vids!

Thanks buddy!

Although, still slower than you in the straights  turbos really do have that edge.

I thought we were very lucky with the date as it was very quiet and the standard of driving was really good, no idiots or bell ends!
