Track days , you dont have to pay for the whole day ,you can pay per session on the day think it"s 15 minutes on the track was £20 a session went down last month as a spectator , held once a month i believe. Next date is 21 MAY . info on links below . 1, is the main home page. 2, is the track day page . Edited and added the other link(2) all you need to know is there. I"m not affiliated with lydden circuit in any way i"m just an old petrol head

Do you need a racing licence, crash helmet, overalls, etc. for these events?

Rumor has it the trackdays there are more like test days, i.e. not for the feint hearted or those overly concerned for their steed.

i used that track to test my setup before i started changing my engines around, the track is so close to me i could push my car there.
its a good track but its not a fast track as its not that big.. very good corners though

corrr shame on you for being lazy when its not sunday...
£150 isnt too bad but you need to remember its not a large track but its got a great top corner if your drift orientated.

Obviously not as prestigious though! (as brands)
Never driven Lydenn, i have mainly watched rally x, some sort of massive yank v8s like old loop circuit racers, oh and bdc once too.
The drift boys where not as quick as the Euro's over Brands but still quite a good day!
It is a good bend slightly up hill and cambered too. Good watching the rally x supercars turn onto the the loose there, its down hill from the previous haipin they must touch 125mph before they brake and turn in onto the loose sideways! There is nothing as exciting in motorsport today imho as Euro super cars! (moto gp comes close tbf)

Lydden is good little track but, unlike Brands Indy (which is about the same length) there are no gravel traps and not a lot of run-off areas, either...
If you go off, it's likely to be expensive!
Also the track is narrow...similar to Cadwell...

nasty track. short, always crowded and really dirty/dusty
your car will look like it has been shot blasted at the front after a full day there.
shame as just down the road from me but same distance to Brands and I know which one is better!!
