right I'm sure a few of you will know this.. on my KW's i currently have a 180x100 spring on the trailing arm. Now to keep things the same if i was to run coilovers what spring rate would i need? i know it would be quite a bit softer but by how much?
Cheers

IIRC Gareth buses 400lb springs on the rear of his touring(not sure what spring length) with Leda coilovers
I use 275Lb springs 10 1/2" long on the back of mine for "normal" fast road use, with Gaz golds

Thanks for the reply. The ones i have at the moment are 150kg or 400lbs. Mines probably a bit lighter than a touring. Might try a 300 lb one. see how it goes.

Cheers Uwe, you will be right. I was guessing it was in KG as in my head 150N is around 850lbs which was making me think Bl***Y HELL. In fact they're 180N which is like 1000lbs?UweM3 wrote:150kgs = 400lbs??? are you sure?chrisroberts wrote:Thanks for the reply. The ones i have at the moment are 150kg or 400lbs. I'll have to get a tape measure out and measure from the pivot point to the inboard spring location and mount for the shock. Work it out from there and see how it goes.
