I have just purchased a BB06 SD cage and the guy I got it from said it would fit a car with a sun roof but surprise surprise it dosnt, this isnt a big deal as Im fitting a full cage now and was thinking of stripping the roof lining and sun roof out anyway, My question is how much more room dose it give you once its gone ? as it seems like I need quite a bit more room to get the lower bar over where the back seat would sit ...

Quite a bit. Well an inch or 2, but it really counts when putting a cage in.
Managed to put a ding in my roof putting my cage in and that's with a plated sun roof and no internal tray
