Race Brake Fluid Recommendations

Any particularly good trackday/race brake fluids out there that anybody would recommend? Thinking of getting some Motul RBF600 but just wanted to see if anybody had any particular favourites before I purchase...

I've used Motul RBF 600/660 and ATE Superblue both with success. Neither have boiled on me, but I do replace regularly (6 month intervals)

I have used RBF660 and Castrol SRF. My preference is for SRF, but for most people this is not the best solution - plus being able to buy RBF in 500ml bottles is a win!

+1 for SRF. If you want to spend the money.
If you have brakes which run on the top end of their thermal capacity, nothing can touch SRF.

I do not understand why people moan so much about the price of SRF. Sure it's three times the price than everything else. But how much money we are talking about? 30 quid! Hardly 300, which I would understand.

If you consider how much a whole track day costs you, saving 20 quid on BRAKEfluid seems barking up the wrong tree.

You spend a lot of time and money for "the day", why let 20 quid ruin it?
And on the long run SFR will probably on par with "cheaper" fluids because it won't need bleeding/exchanging


I am a tight arse and was running Halfords 5.1 (which is as good as anything else out there, just pump fresh one in before every track day) but once I used SRF I know where my money goes.

Agreed SRF is the best but you pay for it.

SRF is being rapidly caught by its competition though. Gone are the days where it was 100+ degrees clear.

For me it's not a question of £30, it's a question of not getting a return on the money. The increase in cost doesn't provide a proportionate increase in quality.

I run Motul RBF something. It's fine, but then I have proper cooling.
