Does anyone know if you can get Ferodo DS2500 for the wilwood 310mm setup (pad type 7816)?
I’m currently running mintex 1144 in the wilwood’s, but round town they squeal REALLY BAD!! (Its tolerable in the winter with the windows closed, but in the summer it’s a nightmare!) plus they seem to score my discs. I use the car for general town use, with the odd trackday as well.
My 1st choice would be the Ferodo DS2500 generally because of good reviews, followed by maybe EBC yellow stuffs.
Has anyone experienced yellows stuffs or Ferodo’s squealing badly?

I would appreciate any help on the matter

What you planning to use the car for?

I have Red Stuff pads in mine but it only gets used at weekends and the odd track day and I have to say they are really good. They do squeal a wee bit at low speed tho but its not that bad. A friend of mine said the best pads for track use are from a company called carbotech. Great from cold, little brake dust and no squeal!

Wilwoods and I believe some of Keri-WMS's kits, do tend to squeal, a lot. Lots of people have tried to fix it with no success, there is a thread running on the subject, apparantly red stuff and grooved discs is the quietest combination. I get on really well with wilwoods own compunds and put up with the squeaking it's motorsport  .

Can anyone suggest how to test if the boot lights are staying on with the boot shut?

I have wilwoods race spec pads in the 6 pots and they tend to squeal like a stuck pig around town.
Out on the twisties it isn't much of an issue though.

I'm fitting redstuffs in the 4 pot rear conversion I'm working on and I'll just have to wait and see how they do

No squeal from my WMS brakes with DS3000 pads,, tiny bit of pad rattle but nothing that would bother me.
