Whats the view on what size the exhaust should be for track use 325i's? is 2 pipes into 1 better or what?

I currently have a wildcat 6 branch, going into two 50mm pipes with a y piece into one 65mm.

Is that right, or should you run two pipes the whole way?

one pipe is good, two pipes of the same volume as one large one weigh 50% more than the single system!!!
