Hello

Well our e30 almost made it into the top 5 of the 24 hours of Lemons. A 2 day endurance race in $500 cars.

We had 2 hours left in the race when we were hit hard by a Ford Escort.

Here are photos of all the cars. We are car #30, Other teams from our area were the 4th place finisher the Black sheep Z car and the Mitsu 3000 done up like a GT 40.

It was a great time even if we now need to replace the door and pull out the rocker panel.

Absolutely disgusting - That you can buy an E30 in the US for under $500 :D

I see you weren't the only E30 out there dude! Fantastic to see that you guys have so much fun with old cars. I wish I could have been there.

True fuzzy with a $500 car you really dont care if you bump some one. Our car has rub marks and small dents all the way across the drivers side of the car. Becase we did alot of passing on the inside in a right turn.
You do get black flagged and penalized if you really hit a car. That is what happend to us at the end of the race. We had been called in 2 times earlier for small things like bumping another car and getting sieways on the track. They do try to keep it from being a destruction derby.

I actually got 2 cars for $500. one had a hole in the oil pan and no interior and the one we raced was rear ended. Just hit hard enough to push in the metal between the tail lights. But it also was pushed into a car when hit. That is why we dont have a stock grill. We went with 1 inch square tubing and made a grill. The car has been run 3 races. Each race you get a residual value after the race so you can do repairs. We severely over heated the ETA engind the 1st race so then we ended up building a enginge from a IS car. That is what is in it now.
