just wondered if anyone had any ideas for good storage in a stripped out e30. had to lose the door cards and the glovebox because of the cage and the harnesses make getting stuff out of you're pockets a pain too! looking at a helmet hammock/net for generall stuff but wanted some ideas for smaller stuff like keys, phone etc.

I still have the glove box. Just cut the right hand side off, make it smaller and glue the side back on with epoxy. Has worked fine for me. I still have the door cards and have also shortened one of the side pockets to clear the door bars. I have to open the dorr to get things out, but better than nothing.
It's a major PIA with a stripped out car to store things!

ah, nice idea to just shorten the pockets and glove box ;)
was thinking of using some of these around the car too:

agree it's a PIA though, especially when your strapped into a harness and you drop something!

What freaks me really out is when I have a passenger with me on the Ring and they forget to hold their mobiles properly. You go into a braking zone, hit the pedal and suddenly you hear a loud CLONK (no carpet, metal floor!) when the phone goes flying. Initially you think something has fallen off from the car!!And they can't reach it either strapped up in the harness so it keep flying around.
