I'm restoring my car as best I can back to factory standard, at the very least all components except the brakes and suspension. Although I want the car as original as possible, I would like to take advantage of modern brakes and suspension.

Brakes must fit within the 17" wheels without any modifications. I'm looking for something that operates without grumbling at city speeds, but can offer me security when I do my very occassional trackday. Front and rear recommendations would be excellent.

For suspension, I'm looking for progressive springs, something that perhaps offers limited adjustability. What are people using these days and what works with the E30?

If there are previous discussions on this kind of stuff (I'm sure there are, I couldn't find anything relevant), then please pass on links.

bdawg, unless you have the uber rare z1 alpina 17's then your running replica's, unless, number 2, you have mistaken the size for 16"

The WMS kit looks like a good option but a fresh set of calipers and braking components will make the brakes much sweeter that a lazy worn out 20 yr old caliper
Bollocks to this 24v scrap!
