We are off drifting again on May 9th at Oulton Park and E30 members are invited to come along again at a discounted price

.
Our February day went well with everyone having a great time -

We limit the numbers on these days to make sure everyone gets lots of tracktime so if you'd like to come along to the next one for just £120 sign up on the thread!

Oulton's drift circuit is fantastic fun!
Was there last Friday and it took two days to get the grin off my face!

Few things that will deturmin weather I am there. First I will ask for the day of work. If this is granted then I will be there. Next will be my bank balence. That will deside wether I am drifting or photographing

No charge from us but it is a race day so all our drivers and passengers etc will get official free entry, any other spectators can usually get straight in if they say they are here for the driftday but we cannot guarantee it as the gate is run by MSV.

Hi Steve,
Please can you PM me the info. I am only down the road from Oulton now and although I have now done a track day have never done the drift circuit yet and fancy taking my car round....
I assume rules are as per track days so cars do not have to be taxed/insured/MOT'd road cars do they...
Cheers,
James

That's fine James not TAX or MOT required - my Westie will have neither as well!
You'll have great fun, the E30s all seem to go well round the drift courses

I'll PM you the details

We'll have instructors there so no problem on giving you a bit of training, aside from that it's all down to practice!

Tim, no worries mate. I aint been to a day run by Steve yet but i honestly think it'll be the same. Everyone is patient and you can speak to anyone if you need any pointers. They are always a great chilled day out. Everyone spins when they first get on track but it doesnt take long getting the hang of it.

I'll PM discount and booking info through to Al and Tim but I'm keeping away from Al's plums
No worries on the spinning Tim, I've instructed on this course myself but I still lob the car off a few times over a day so you'll fit in fine

Sorry about the complicated booking system chaps, we have looked at setting up a dedicated web shop but the costs run into thousands so it would just result in higher prices which we obviously want to avoid!
Either way, glad to see you are both booked in

. We haven't done a proper entry list but so far we entries from Honda, Mazda, BMW, Toyota and Westfield so it's looking like being a fairly varied field!

Well as long as he doesnt turn up with his undies over his jeans.

If i can get the E30 sorted i'd be up for this. How late can we book ?
And to confirm i'd be in an unisured and taxed car is that cool ?
I'm hoping to have a good go at the E30 next week as i should have use of a ramp for the week.
I promise that i'll still take pranged cars home too if needed, no undies over my jeans either !

Right now we've still got a fair number of spaces left but I'm expecting a lot of bookings in next week cos they are doing drift demos this weekend at the Modified Live show - just book as soon as you can cos when it's full, it's full!
Bikemanjai wrote:And to confirm i'd be in an unisured and taxed car is that cool ?
There are no scrutineering checks done on the car or requirements for tax and insurance but you are responsible for ensuring that the car is capable of doing the day!
Bikemanjai wrote:I promise that i'll still take pranged cars home too if needed, no undies over my jeans either !
We don't do pranging so no problem there and you should only wear the Superman kit if your driving is appropriately heroic

We'll email you a drivers info pack next week so you know times etc, the address bit is just a standard part of the shop.
