Hope this hasn't been asked a thousand times before!

What Diameter, gauge and type of steel are roll cages made from? I am confident I could make 1 that isn't going to cause more harm then good so might go DIY.

Couple of cars i've had them in the past have all been 50mm.

I think if you check customcages website they say what diameter and gauge they use for all the different bits of cage.

custom cages are brilliant for setting the basic "frame" (club kits CL2 rear cage design) they do need a bit of jigging, but they are cheap and can supply extra CDS, you can add to it, or you can just go for the multipoint jobby which iv heard is a bit of a nightmare to fit, but once is is excellent ! or there is safety devices which are brilliant bolt in kits lovely qaulity and fit a treat no welding needed
