Hello all.

The build of the e30 320i race car is nearing completion.. only a few fire extinguisher bits and the horn to sort out and then it's back on the road. First track day is planned for 21st October and the first race is mid November. :D

The basic project website is...

The cage is from X-sport in basingstoke and costs about £1200 all in....

We decided to keep rear drums for the time being, although a rear disk conversion is a potential "upgrade" in the future... we just want to see how we fare to start with!!! :)

Ah bugger! I did that with the rear grab handles in the front doors too! I thought I was the first to do it lol I was really proud of myself when I came up with that idea and they fitted lol :(
These so-called speed bumps are a joke. If anything, they slow you down! :-x

It's just the black hosing from B&Q designed for watering systems.. 7mm diameter I think, and drilled very small (0.5mm) holes along the length of the blades. Plugged the ends with screws and it passed an MOT in April like it so I assume it's okay and legal :D

We got the idea for the grab handles from JimmyC but I think we have fitted ours differently though.

And alas I cant take the credit for it either, Dave Kear has been building race cars like that for a very long time.

If your looking at spray bars, I can recommend the merc sprinter van ones that fix to the wiper, works great
