the most important thing in a crash is protecting your head
and the most important thing about keeping you head safe is having a helmet that fits like a glove, you could go and crash at 80 MPH in Lewis Hamiltons helmet and sustain more injuryies to your head than you could with a £80 helmet that fits properly.
Tags, names, celeb indorsments mean the best part of fack all if your head is a compeltely different shape to the inside of the helmet as all your head does is crash into the inside of the helmet after the helmet has stopped decellerating, instead of being firmly held so the padding and helmet construction can do its job whilst decellerating at teh same speed as your head.
forget what it looks like, who makes it, if you look like the stig etc, get the one that is going to hold your head secure in a crash. if there is more than one that holds it perfectly, then you can choose to be fussy about brand/looks etc
