I went to France recently on holiday with the family, next to where we stayed (for two days (the owner is a petrol head and loves building all kinds of vehicles..

2 Km down the road was this:

Basically £1500 for the day and you get to drive for 5 laps in an F1 car. Where we stayed they had a guy that had hired the track ONLY FOR HIM FOR THE DAY and completed 117 laps in an F1 car....How much ££$$$$$$???? And his job? He owns a petrol station.... in Monico filling up VERY big boats!! 8O

But Just next to this F1 testing track was this lot... Quality breeds Quality! 8)

The Isle of Man: No National Speed Limit, No Gatso's, No Nanny State, a disused airfield track 1.5 miles long, the best mountain road to drive on...Come and Play!

Sorry, just seen the link :o:
We tested an F1 Lotus here a on the way to the Monaco Historic GP a few years ago. The people who own the track were realy helpful and enthusiastic. We had just rebuilt the gearbox and the owner / driver insisted that we take it there the day before qualifying. The gearbox was fine but he crashed the car and we spent the night rebuilding it on the harbour in Monaco !
