Gearbox swap

Around here , there is a few E30 , 325i and 318is , with the gear box from the E36 , S5D 250G .

The newer gear box seems to box much stronger the the older one , and with 5ft gear at 1.1 , instead of the .81 from the E30 .

I have one from a E36 318is , and it is the same number as the one from the E36 325i , is this correct ?

My car is track only , and have a 4.10 diff . , and my fears is that the car reach to quick the top speed in 5th , theorically the same speed as the 4th gear in the old one .

Did any on you try this swap ???
