Is it possible to bolt a set of coilover dampers to the rear

Just a thought really, guess the tops of the turrets would need reinforcing, but other than that, would the springs fit in the turrets?

Probably been covered before but "coil over" didn't reveal much in the search :(

only way it can really be done is with rose jointed top mounts and axle mounts as the coilovers will need to sit at an angle to clear things etc. GAZ make a kit. im going to get it when money allows. id say the rear turrets will need reinforcing as they are not designed to take the weight of the car. mine are going to be seam welded, probably not really needed on my car as the cage mounts to the turrets but the extra strength will be nice for piece of mind.

This thread shows what I had to do; this one has useful info, too.

The only turret reinforcement I did was the two 4mm plates shown in my conversion thread above, since then I've done a trackday at Llandow, 50 'Ring laps and about 5,000 road miles. It doesn't look like falling apart yet 8)
