For M-Tech springs, look for someone breaking a Sport (or Touring!); there's usually one or two in the Parts section.
Coilovers aren't as expensive as you might think, at least for the front. If you don't mind doing some work yourself (cutting, grinding and welding), Rally Design can supply everything to convert the front (using standard shocks) for about £100. Converting the rear can be done with bolt-on parts and standard shocks for c.£225 (you need spherical-bearing top mounts, which puts the cost up).
Here's my build thread.

Sounds like you have shit lowering springs.. I am lower than you with a shocking exhaust and have only scraped on the biggest of humps!George_Of_The_Jungle wrote:i'm 30/30 at the mo and i keep taking my exhaust out on bl**dy speed bumps. so would like it standard height (its a sport so 15mm lower than the rest). but i also want much less roll. i'm not trying to correct too much over steer or under steer. also might like to get away from the tail pipes touching the road under heavy accel in 1st and second.
Arb's will do nothing for your tailpipes touching the road under heavy acc either.. Again Better springs (not higher!) Mine is more powerful than yours with grippier rear tyres and ive never had that issue

its just the connection between down pipes and centre box that gets nocked, and pushed apart.Jhonno wrote:Sounds like you have shit lowering springs.. The WhiteLine 16mm adjustable rear bar I run has 3 holes of adjustment as well, at the moment have the bar set to softest setting, as don't need to kill front understeer with more rear bar, as car is handling perfect!

Spring rates are a secret!
iv recently fitted spax 60mm springs to my bilstien B12's car is much flatter round faster corners, no were near as much body roll, compered to the Eibachs..
just a lower centre of gravity makes hell alot of difference. simple
still going to be getting the H&R ARB's when funds allow. (either arbs or a sneeky april ring weekend hmmm? lol)
