I have just got back from a Dirt Sprint event (dirt circuit with cones marking edge, +5 seconds to time for crossing edge, 1 standing start lap and 1 flying lap per run) similar to the Autocross I do but we used the long track as well and id the short track backwards.

Anyway I finished 2nd in class in my E30 323i (road car), not sure about outright placing. I was beaten by a semi race prepared (still a road car but minus most of the interior and with race tyres) Toyota Corolla (1970's RWD) with a 4AGE (1.6L) supercharged engine. Supercharger means engine cappactiy multiplied by about 1.7 to get class, = 2.7L which is in my class (2L to 3L). He was about 4sec a run faster than me 8O . I did finish in front of a race prepared Datsun/Nissan 240K and race prepared Holden Commodore (3L).

Also My father finished 2nd in class and 2nd outright in his Lancer Evolution VI against a fairly large field of AWD cars.

Well done!!!! :thumb:

my road car doesnt even have the brakes to stop in a straight line on tarmac

donw worry about the corolla-you will still have a sweeter sounding engine than his, and less road noise as your car still has an interior :D
