As title what DB is your system putting out on track?
Brands hatch has lowerd its drive by to 92db now and i think most other tracks are lower than that anyway (correct me if im wrong).
Lydden hill is now 100db aswell (not that im into drifting but i like to o bhp show)
My m52 track car is about 103db static just just scrapes past the tester lol.
Thanks

Mine is sub 90db it's very quiet! I have a largish mid silencer and quite a bit back box. I'm looking to make the centre section removable for races to reduce weight etc but keep it just incase for silenced days. It was customer made by Infinity Exhausts in Yate.
Not measured my M52 track car but seems pretty quiet on drive by (videos) compared to a lot of other stuff! Pretty much a factory 325i system.
Planning to get a custom exhaust made up with the centre box replaced by an x-piece only when the new engine goes in. Hoping I'll get away with that...but iirc that's what DanThe has on his M52 track car and tbh that sounds no louder than mine.
How come yours is so loud?

The Mongoose system I have on my car comes out at 95db when tested, that's with an m30 engine, not sure if that will make any difference though.

Standard centre box, HUGE no-name stainless backbox with DTM-style upswept tips.
88dB tested @ Thruxton a few years ago.
A tip - if you're just over, swap the coding plug in your instrument cluster for a 4-pot one; it'll display your revs x 1.5. A 4,000 rpm noise test conducted at 2,666 rpm might be enough to squeeze you through...

When did brands change to 92db drive by? I was there less than 2 weeks ago and it wasn't that low.Sx279 wrote:As title what DB is your system putting out on track?

Thruxton is 90db when you go with Motorsport Events, hence why my e30 is staying on my drive next Friday
