There's a few people in America, but I've heard good things about Ergen although not used them myself (yet!).

I know someone in the UK that can do the ECU for quite a good price (used them for my own s54 swap). If you want details PM me.

As for the loom you have a choice, some of the ones I found - Ergen. There is a chap on R3vlimited forum by the name of Andrew Harvey who does plug and play looms and can customise them for you to: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=275468 He has got a lot of reviews and everyone seems to rave about his product. From what I have read KasselPerformance plug and play loom is a copy of Andrews.

ERGEN's S54 loom is nice, very simple to install, used one last year and no issues at all. :thumb:

Im preparing to make my second S54 E30 loom for the same conversion as above ( first was a RHD), i would say if your not competent with vehicle electrics then definatly buy in a ready made solution!
Depending on your expectations for your conversion i have found that all the off the shelf solutions are somewhat compromised in one way or another though!

The rest of the original S54 loom does not fit an E30 shell well(not a factory look), and IMO requires modification to create a decent factory look, ( most are hidden thus deemed "sweet"). Also i think the plug n play kits leave the customer at the mercy of the person flashing the ecu, no one flashing ecu's are prepared to explain ( if they even know) the true extend of what effect running these engines in that fashion & what modifications are necessary to the ecu & map to reverse the limp mode, power reductions, road speed signal & vanos operating correctly & safely, IMO most if not all do not achieve this thus sadly miss the whole point of the conversion. Getting an S54 engine to run is a piece of pi55, getting it to run sweet is another story,( thats my personal experience), please don't let this put you off because its a great engine. Good luck!

You could/probably are right - not even seen many s54 swaps that have been on the dyno to see if they are still producing the power.

Are you planning on doing a refresh once you get an engine ? I got a 65k mile engine from a reputable supplier with all the supporting docs, service history etc... I wanted to do a refresh (main and big end bearing, APR bolts, new oil pump etc... given its intended use. Good thing I did !!!
