Got back from Cadwell last night on a Low Loader after "Parking It" in the bank at Mansfields and snapping a trackrod, and pushing the tyres of the rims!

Just wanted to say a big thanks to Dave who was an absolute star and refitted my tyres saving my rims from getting trashed when being dragged onto the recovery truck!

I owe you a beer my man!

Oh, and if anybody wants to know if Mansfields is 2nd or 3rd gear corner (due to running out of revs in 2nd) I can comfirm that 2nd is the gear to go for as 3rd doesn't work!! :o:

How many other people have crashed with an instructor in the car? winkeye

What a fantastic day though.

Your Welcome anytime, Glad I could help.

Pity no one had a spare track rod end or we could have got you back on track as well. At least you had a few laps of fun. Think of the poor bugger in the Westfield who threw a rod on the siting laps and then had a punture on his trailer.

Great day out and at least it stayed dry.

Sometimes instructors can be a hazard????????????

Cheers,

Dave

Unlucky that you caught the bank the way you did,but at least its not bent too much stuff! I had an off there a couple of years back doing the same thing! I was using 3rd yesterday in the red e30,as I found that you just bounce the rev limiter in second. Instructors can be a bad influence at times :D

That s2000 engined e30 was quite trick 8)

To be fair 3rd would have been okay with a slightly less optomistic entry speed and warm tyres......

Totally my fault and a lesson to be learned!

Fortunately it's cost hardly anything to put right and nothing looks too bent underneath although I won't know for sure until I get the tracking and geometry checked on Tuesday.

Fingers crossed though as I have a drift day on Weds!

I got annoyed at Mansfield as I kept hitting the limiter and spinning the inside wheel on the exit, in 2nd. With my newly fitted 4.45 lsd it'll probably be 3rd gear now.
