I posted a message the other day about my floppy gear linkage and was told to ask about the bush's but I saw anothger post that said a short shift kit would sort 90% of the floppyness is this true and if so how much would a shift kit cost?

Can I be an idiot and ask what the kit does? Does it just shorten the throw when shifting gears? If so, I might have to consider one ...

Yes it does shorten the throw to approx 3-4 inches or less
