Paul,

I can't find a part number for the bit i want, hope you can help!

Basically i have part 2 in the link below, but can you get the 'horizontal' bit that makes up the 'base' in N/S well.

Just found a pic of the bit i want!

Looks like it comes with the inner wheel arch hsg.

Could you email me the pic with your chassis number so I can ask BMW.

Thanks

Mark, its not part of the inner wheel housing, its part of the rear quarter panel. The rear quarters i have include this 'base' area, its all one bit of metal. Perhaps its possable to buy separately, but i have never seen them.

Hmm, I have a pair of rear quarters in the shed! will have to go check this weekend if it does contain the bits I need. But i don't really want to cut up a genuine rear quarter just for this bit.

About 6-8weeks ago someone was selling these bits on ebay, but I didn't need them then!

Paul, i'll get the chassis number asap and email the details over to you. :D

Saying that, i just looked at my quarters in the loft and they account for about half of that flat area, to the join between the two wheel casings, suggesting its made of two parts.

Bargain! Funny how you can buy the other boot floor pieces separate but not this bit :( Guess i'll have to stop being lazy and make the bit then!
