Can you get them cheaper, or know of a good quality replacement? I fear mine has suffered from the cracking that they are prone to doing.
Also, is there such a thing as a timing chain replacement kit that contains all the parts necessary except the tensioner which I've just ordered from my local BMW dealer for £35 all in which I didn't think was too bad (although I suspect it would have been cheaper using the zone - hindsight eh?
)Would both the exhaust manifold and timing chain be something within the scope of doing at home on the drive? I am prepared to give it a go with the help of a mate and my bro, but just wanted to check that no special tools were needed.
