Really? That puts me off. I was thinking these would reduce the amount of water sitting it the wing 'gutters'. But they sound like they would trap moistureDaveD wrote:self adhesive....

And they take the paint off when you try to remove them!

I wouldn't worry about trapped water along the wing edge. They have two strips of adhesive along the rubber, they stick to both the vertical and horizontal indent along the inside edge of the wing.

As Mark pointed out above they are such a good seal.
No moisture gets under, I removed a set of these seals and installed them on one of my other E30's.
The glue is that strong it removed some paint.
I noticed the temp of the engine bay rises when in standing traffic.
The onboard computer temp reading rises till you move off.
Heat escapes through the wheel arches.
You can put your hands out of the drivers window especially and warm your hands!.
