Need an oil sump I thinks its an m43, numbers are 17152689

As I said in your other thread it is an M40 or M42 sump. M43 is E36 and will NOT fit an E30.

Casting numbers are not always the part number. I linked to the correct part number in that other thread.

If it is only the bottom section you need then Febi ones are about £50 new on ebay.

But my block is m43, wasn't sure if it's OK to weld

......with am M40/m42 sump on it or it would not fit in your e30.

Google pictures of M43 sump and compare to pictures of E30 M40 and M42 sumps if you don't believe me.

Ah I see so my block is m43 but has had different oil sump fitted so that the engine fits, sorry I didn't understand
