Hi Cotswold.

I am looking for an original hood badge - BMW code 51-14-1872324 (not the modern 51-14-8-132-375 one).

Do you have any in stock/coming in and/or a good used one for sale?

My E30 is a Nov 1990 316i Lux 2 door.

Regards & Thanks
Michael

Front and back the same, most models of that age, same, loads on eBay, just stay clear of the plastic ones.

Hello Smiley

The E30 badge was not the same front and rear. The front 51141872324 and the rear still is 51141872969

Mine are the same. never bought a "front or rear" one. You sure the early E30 is not the same?

Edit, Just physical compared the two and cannot see a difference on mine..

The rear badge should not be flat it is curved to follow the profile on the downward lip of the bootlid.

I know you like to argue but don't pick on Jon he has been at this longer than most of us, including me (and I've been spannering my E30 over 30 years now)

I have been doing this for 36 years and started when the E30 was still a production car so I am pretty confident about what I am saying is true.

That and the fact that I have access to BMW's ETK system (parts catalogue) so I get my info from the horses mouth so to speak.

Saying that, a front badge will fit the boot, its the right size and fitting but they will be large gaps at the top and bottom which is not
how the cars left the factory.
