That part number is a coded lock cyl, the cost will be £62.82 and has to be specially made in Germany which could take 6 weeks.

A new lock set will probably cost £150 depending on what car we are talking about if you are interested send me the vehicle reg.

I thought it more convenient to hijack this post. I too need a lock set for a 93 316 LUX Touring (L748 KVM). Presumably this comes with 2 keys, ignition, glove, doors, tailgate?

Please could you see if this is available.

Unfortunately there is no stock anywhere for the touring, I will enquire with BMW to find out what the situation is regarding supply. The cost will be £173.99

Just heard back from BMW, the lock set for your touring is out of production, so BMW would have to find a new company to re-manufacture. This process is likely to take up to two years, and the cost of the kit is likely to increase significantly.

Sorry it's not better news.

No stock at BMW in Germany I am afraid, you should be able to key a new barrel and seperate key still. PM your VIN
