The battery in the alarm unit for my 1991 320i has blown. It’s stil the factory fitted alarm which is in good working order other than the battery.

I am looking to see if I can purchase a replacement battery.

Hi

I have no idea. Was hoping someone might know what was in the factory fit alarm.

Back in the day the only factory alarm was DWA, the strange extra key slot above the normal door barrel, anything else was dealer fit.

Send me a picture of your unit and I will see what I can do.

Not sure if you got this solved - I had to get a battery made up for mine a long time ago. It was made up of 6 varta cells or something then desolder the old one and resolder onto the new one. Of course there were pictures of it as well before photobucket changed their rules.

Here's the thread - it still works perfectly.

We do no sell the batteries as separate items, we would only be able to sell a complete new siren.

I would need a part number off the old one to price it up for you.
