Was interested by the article about fitting a 325i throttle body to a 320i.
Can you or anyone here supply a modded inlet manifold as an exchange item?
320i big bore throttle conversion?

Hi
You don't need to buy a new manifold. The std 320 one can be modified to fit a 325 TB. I have done myself from an article on the old E30 board.
Basically take a 325 TB gasket and grind out the 320 manifold to fit, being very careful along the bottom edge.

Hi,
Thanks for the response - I saw the article but was hoping someone else could do the work for me
BTW did you notice an improvement?

Sorry for the delay in replying.
I only noticed a difference once I'd chipped it as well with a mild chip.
No great difference but a bit more response in the bottom range. Also it brought the bhp back to near factory after the work. Last checked it was around 125bhp of the factory figure of 129.
As Cloggy says - a lot of work for little return but as I had the head off mine because it had cracked it wasn't a great deal more effort at the time. I certainly would have been disappointed if I did it in situ.
