I'm not sure if this is correct place for this but i know you guys work for BMW so thought it was appropriate.

Okay so i've bought several items from my local T****** BMW and sometimes you cannot work out if the part on realoem is correct as the pictures aren't detailed enough.

With all the non-standard parts i order i cannot provide a VIN and one guy in particular at my local BMW will not help at all at always forces me to select what i think is correct and pay for it there and then over the phone or in person.

When i go to return an unused item they will not allow me todo so, specifically this one person is always a complete and utter dick because i never have a VIN number and he hasn't a clue half the time what i'm asking for.

So what is the actual returns policy? On the invoice it says "We will accept the return of any goods which you did not order specifically...." Specifically ordered items are not mentioned and i'm always forced to specifically order items! If i give a description i'm always met with the response "I can only see whats on my screen"

Anyone apart from this one person will process the return as long as it's unused, this person isn't new so it's not down to that which i could understand.

Any help is much appreciated,

Thanks
Ash

Hi Ash,

Returns can be a bit of a grey area,

We have to meet certain criteria in which we can send parts back.

A big part of this is our ordering process, we should be ordering parts on a 2day stock order.

The part has to have at least a £12 value before it is entertained and attempted to be sent back within 10days - 14 at a push.

If the part is German order or backorder then there is virtually no chance of getting it back to BMW.

From a Cotswold point of view, without you guys, we wouldn't have a job. So personally speaking and infact from the rest of the guys here, we will always to our best to sort out any problems/returns.

However, we don't want to be landed with parts which are only good for gathering dust.

If you want us to return anything (has to be bought from us) we would need you to send the part back to us at your expense.

Hope this is clearer?

Hi,

It does make a little more sense now although it's still the most confusing returns process i've come across

Most of the parts have been of little value it's just really annoying sometimes.

Anyway perhaps you can help, i need 4 clips for the rear trailing arms which attach the brake lines to it. The ones with the hole in to attach it not the slot type.

Regards
Ash

Hi Ash could you take a look on realoem.com and check on rear brake pipes and see if those are correct. Thanks.

regards

Paul.
