hi im looking to buy brembo 4 pot callipers which are of a bmw e38. would they fit straight on to my e30?

No.

Custom caliper mounts will be needed to mount them, discs wouldnt be easy to find (possibly custom bell and rotor setup) and wheel clearance would be an issue. A lot of hassle when 'off the shelf' kits are available.

Having said that, you don't say what E30 you have - those brembos should bolt up to the E30 M3 strut, but the discs are still a problem.

They wont bolt straight on no,
but if you buy these adaptors....
