Bulkhead grommet needed for engine loom

I cant find a part number for it but hopefully you chaps can, all E30's have this large grommet where the engine loom passes through the RH side of the bulkhead next to the battery

Hi there

a bit of a tricky one, is there a part number on it? if not can you provide measurements, the best thing to do is have a look at realoem.com sections 51 this has most of the grommets listed but they also show a couple on the bulkhead in section 41 see if any of these are in the right area and i will price for you then

No part number no, the section that fits the bulkhead is approx 50mm, the section that the loom fits through is approx 25mm.

Part number 51711972464 is possible, described as 'blind plug' though which isnt convincing, but it is more expensive than the usual plugs

CAn i get chassis number and i will forward picture to BMW and see if they can supply me with a part number

Yes, every E30 engine loom has them. Could do with a regular supply as they are getting scarce in scrap yards now hence this post.

Parts just turned up Brett, the grommet is not what I expected

Very similar, just needs a hole and pull bits.

Ive found a grommet with numbers on now, can you do anything with these?

Thanks for that, the number dosnt show on our system i have forwarded it to BMW to see if they can now let me have an answer, i have a feeling it will either be NLA or only comes with the loom, but lets see what BMW say
