Hi there,

I need prices for this little lot please :) :

Thermostat housing gasket
Water pump (single pipe connection not the one that has 2) with gasket part number off the 1 i removed is 1719839
Distributor cap 1715903
rotor arm 1715906
water hose 13541719966
expansion tank (i think it is this 17111712641)

and if such a thing exists separately - the lid for the screenwash bottle! (may be this: 61667228601)


for an 1988 325i cabriolet E638HPD

the numbers you have supplied are not good numbers so i have listed parts fitted as standard

What do you mean by not good numbers - as in they are from the wrong bmw? They are the part numbers off the parts that I have removed from the car :?

most part numbers on the parts are correct, even if they have been superseeded to something else we can still cross referance them but the pump, cap and arm numbers you have supplied dont show up anywhere in BMW systems, so as long as the engine is the standard engine fitted prices i have quoted for will be correct.

the water pump number i checked all supersessions and the very first number it was released under was 1719836 which is close to the number you supplied

Wow so my water pump is probably 23 years old!

yeah the dizzy cap was my biggest shock on there, that and the water pump everything else is reasonable. Though judging by my dated part numbers all of those parts are original and all still working fine so they must be very good quality to survive 23 years and 90k miles.
mattrs - so do I - I'm doing a full(!) service so want brand new parts cheers though. (don't forget to send me those pics)
