Hi Clive

can i get vehicle details, also the bearings are colour coded depending on size required the only way to know which ones are required is to phisicaly looking at them, having said that once i get details i should be able to price them as i dont expect them to be a different price but wont be able to give you a ref number until you know for sure what size and colour code required

Thanks

hi brett. thanks for the reply. i'm building a 2.8 so i just have the crank. its in very good condition so i thought standard mains would be ok. i could be wrong. the only ones i have is what came out of the block i'm using.
what would you suggest?

Hi Clive

BMW list 3 different standard bearings, now if the crank and block are from different cars i am not sure we will be able to get this correct and you might need a local engineering firm to help you out, if the are from same car then this would be a bit easier but i still need chassis number and colour code which will be marked on old bearings yellow, green of white there might even be a part number which might help, i am sorry if this sounds a bit long winded but i want to make sure you get it right, i wouldnt want you putting in the wrong ones building it up and then find it knocks and you have to start again, best make sure we get it right first time
