Price of a steering rack

The vehicle I want it for is a motorsport convertible. How much is it for a genuine one pleaassse??

The one listed is now NLA

at £1242 i am guessing the demand was non existant!!

I thought it was going to be expensive, but not that expensive! lol

Ok so what can I do now if the my mechanic does diagnose it as the steering rack at fault?

Where can I get a new steering rack from? Excluding places like Euro Car parts, as my past purchases with them havent been worthwhile with them

You could get a good second hand one off here for about £30, I would say there's a 90% chance it will be ok for many more thousands of miles and a 10% chance it won't. Considering it's only £30, say an hours labour to fit at a garage, then probably about £100 all in, i'd be taking the chance over a £1242 new one
