I would like a quotation for an exhaust part please.
Its the front section after the manifold including the centre cat box. The car still has the factory piece on except the scorpion half system ( Back box and pipes leading to centre box) Which i put on last year. I can get the part from bmw although very expensive!, but euro car parts say the part i need is a manufacturer only part after they sent me the one for my reg number but it was totally wrong :x

The part has the lamda probe on the down pipes just after the manifold and the cat in the centre box.

The car is a 1992 j reg 325 cabriolet on a private reg J2HRK origianal reg J548SPE

Hi Brett,
Yeah thats about right i was quoted £1000+vat. They faxed me through 2 options, 1 with cat(£1000) and 1 without cat £265 but my mechanic said the one without the cat wont fit.

I will leave it for now as i am not about to pay that kind of money for 1 part of an exhaust for an old car. I will continue searching for an alternative and if all else fails i'll come back to you.

Thank you for your time.
Regards
John

It is possible to use the front part of your old manifold and connect it to a 1987 sport manifold-the two bits will slot together. If you visit this site: www.leisureshack.co.uk/exhausts.aspx
Look at the exhaust for a e30 325i 2.5 Saloon 09/85-09/87 the front section is the same as the cat section. What i did was use the down pipe of the original as the flange is different-so half the original and half the 87 none cat pipe. This way you can use the original lamba probe and do away with the cat and expense. From then on you just buy the rest of the 87 sport exhaust: this you can do for £150 for the complete exhaust. If you need help please email me at: Sebastian.alexander35@googlemail.com and i will give you my number and can assist you with part numbers ect.

I hope this is of some help!

Sebastian
