i can see where you are comming from but the only reason i would like to change it is becuse it wont need replacing again, not for any preformance gains. yes you do have more experiance with cars, you can fit an m50 for a start which is pretty cool becuase i cant. all i was thinking was ive got a ss exhaust to go on and it might be worthwhile fitting a ss manifold so that nothing will need changing in the future such as a cracked manifold

But surely with the way our engines rev a 4-1 manifold will help make better power than a mass produced, cheap 4-2-1 set up,have you measured them? the lenths are all slighlty diffent.
For those who want to swap cams,cranks,carbs/throttle bodies into making a high powered, high compression 2.1 or 2.2 M42 then the standard manifold will be holding things up.
But that said a mass produced stainless 4 branch designed for a LHD car and for a standard engine wont be any better either.
And Alex,we drive on the right side, everyone else drives on the wrong one, ever wonder why the yanks and the eu are complete W£$%^&*S

I would definitely go for an M30 E30 Manifold, I think definitely hottuning should go for the M50/M30 RHD manifolds, they will be loved on that board.
not that I care because my cars are LHD but I thing what fits an RHD will fit an LHD 200% sure !
Regards Pierre

clearance issues with bulkhead and steering linkage for the e30.

m42 touring
+ a yard full of scrap turds
How much would an m50 manifold cost to make? Is there not a serious untapped market here?

Yes, the holes don't line up with the head. Also it's impossible to get a spanner onto some of the nuts because there is no clearance at all. Very poor.

It's been fitted to the car for months after lots of drilling and grinding. I just thought you should know there is a problem with the fitment.
