Try disconecting the air flow meter sensor wiring plug.See if that makes any difference?

Had this on a 93 e36 318i. Look for a split air pipe between the Air flow meter and the throttle body. May look okay but under hard accelaration, the engine moves, opens the split up and bingo, your driving Skippy.
