I'm looking for one of these spacious cruisers for our long distance journeys. Good mechanical condition is more important than bodywork, although a tidy one would be nice !!!!. The E30 is a squeze with the wee one and loads of luggage, but we want to keep it as we love it. Does anybody know of a big 7 for sale, preferably somewhere close to Scotland ?

Cheers

George

Go for an 735i who have a bit more power than the 730i or the 730 V8
They are very nice and I must say that I love my E32 as much as the old E30 in a diffrent way....

I've had one for four years, and it's a 730i with a manual gearbox - mega rare! I doubt I would sell it though - it's done over 270k and it's not actually worth anything despite it's mintness.
One of the few E32's will a full service history from day one AND a BMW exhaust. :chuckle:

Four hundred and twenty pounds. I had to drop me strides in the BMW parts dept and bend over whilst the parts manager used my arse crack as a credit card swiper.

Seriously though, BMW exhausts are worth every penny. Well, the original '89 zorst did 18 years and 270k.

And the refinement of this prestige car is......................eerie. Reclining in the comfort leathers and surrounded by wood trim with inlaid Maple fillets, you could swear you were in a car costing at least £1000. winkeye

Maxfield did comment that i'd have to do better than a packet of werthers and a p1ss stained skoda back seat to lure him from the eerie refinement and opulence of the leather lined e32 C0CKpit !

That's the one to have. 730i autos are useless, you really need a 3.5 with the slothmatic.

Mine's got electric headrests.......WHAT'S THE POINT!??

Gotta say I'm loving my E32, it's the worlds most comfortable car

Mine's got masses of history, has done just 109K (has dead cats though I think) and cost me the princely sum of £570 :D

Get one with a V8 and then mod the exhaust to let the noise out would be my advice :D

It's nae great is it !! Even the Scotads is dry for decent BM's at the moment. I would have thought that this time of year would see flocks of cars for sale, but it just ain't the case.

I think that we would probably settle for a decent E34 if a big 7 does not appear any time soon....

I wouldn't mind the same - I still regret selling my 93 730 V8 - it was in great condition and ran sweet, wish I'd never sold it.

Here she was

Image

If your going to get one you might as well get the 740 - not much difference in fuel ecomony as the 730 and has a bit more grunt
Previously owned loads of old E30s, E34s, a few E36s, E32s, E39s and an E38.

Currently in a diesel Audi - miss me old E30's....
