V8 - and one of the best V8's in the world

or 2.5 Twin Turbo

It would be an early turbo or a s2 needing some tidying maybe.I have just been offered a really nice 944s still the 16v like the s2,just different front bumper looks wise.....for £1500,hence why the IS is for sale320ise wrote:lol would you get a good one for that?
You see some nice ones pop up cheap on pistonheads/egay.

944's seem to be quite an expensive liability to me

The Fiat's aren't bad at all, but the Rovers have a large appetite for mullering gearboxes

hope this ends up a nice long thread
because i have been asking myself this same question recently
my sport is soon to go, iv had too many e30snow and really feel like a change
plans are either a nice tidy touring to stick an m50 into
or something newer with the power on tap ie 200+ bhp
keep eyeing up nice sensible volvos,
of the t5 variety of course
more power and more practicality are my main wants

My suggestion is an S13 Nissan 200sx.
1.8 Turbo, rear wheel drive (some with l.s.d.), nice looking, great to drive.
They do knock out number three big end bearing so it might be worth spending £40 or so and an afternoon putting a new set of shells in there, keep the oil well topped up and they are fine.
Easy to crank 200 bhp with more boost, exhaust and air filter and a nice big Saab / Volvo intercooler in front of the radiator and with the standard ecu. Easy to get 250+ bhp with further mods and standard internals.
They did very well in the Practical Performance Magazine £999 Challenge too!

What this man said./\ Or a 205 mi16 stripped out, on throttle boddies with slicks. Should be do able for £2000 if you put some leg work in. That will bait much more expensive machinary all day long. Semi slicks for road useDRIFTBOY wrote:My suggestion is an S13 Nissan 200sx.
