I've had my E36 for over 5 years and the Service Indicator has always been spot on. However, when I last had it serviced in October the service lights, after being reset, seem to have rapidly accelerated with 1 light going out about every 400 miles! I've now got the service overdue light on and the Inspection and Oil Service lights. I know the S.I. takes a lot of variables into consideration but 2000 miles seems a bit of a short timespan between services! Has anyone experienced a similar problem or have any ideas on whats gone wrong?

Thanks,

Jonathan.

that is very short. i used to kill my e36 everywhere (who wouldnt?) and the lights were out at around the 7000 mile mark.

if you know you dont need a service yet,why not reset them again and see what happens in 2000 miles
