compacts are diffs different?

E36? Yes, they are. In E46 they are the same as in saloon.

thought so lol just bought a replacment low mileage one form a saloon mounts are differnt to the one taken off of the compact :cry:

You can use an E30 diff so easier for LSD...depends on engine as to ratio etc - see ebay

so e30 diffs are the same as compacts? its basically a 318is engine in it m42 i think
