The 735i have an M30 engine with a lot of tuning options but it can be expencive. I just wonder instead of doing a lot of work on the M30, what about using an engine from a E36 M3 instead? I know one guy in Norway did that with an BMW E39 in Norway and that worked very well :D

Erik- Get pics of this Barge up!

The m30 is your easiest route still- can get 250ish from them.

Best plan for an e32 is to lighten it significantly

you want a nice torquey engine in a big barge like that, not a tuned up M30 and certainly not a revs-to-the-moon S50

I aqree that getting power from an M30 is expensive. therefore, the only sensible option is to put a 750i mill in

re an S50'd E39 - i can't see that being half as good as a 4.4 litre 540i? but maybe it was done to keep the rack and pinion steering as i think the v8s needed a steering box instead?

Or just sell the turd and buy a 750i. Either a 740i or a 750i with an early E34 535i 3.91 LSD will be very tasty. An E32 will never be really fast with an M30 donk.

Okay, some experience regarding to have an old BMW when its propper winter. Recently we have had -10 and plenty of snow here in Sweden and I would say that the doors to an 20 year old BMW is a huge disapointment. They freeze alot and are hopeless when you have a propper Nordic Winter, so I don`t think they did a good job on locks for winter condition.
Other thing with the E32 is that it need blody good snow tyers here in Sweden when the winter and snow arrives because right know I use Good Year studed tyers and I frankly drift in every corner and get a lot of wheelspinn when I take lose. That car was made for good motorways like the German Autobahn and not drive around in the "country side" of Sweden during winter. But I will survive!!!

Because of my current condtion I will sort out the small problems it is on it right now and see what I will do with it? Its a good car, but its a bit scary car for the condtions up here in Northern Sweden. Maybe I will go back to an E30 because its so much better on the snow than the 1800 kg BMW....
